Add Milk:
Gradually add milk to form a soft, sticky dough.
Shape the Pudding:
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and shape into a log.
Prepare for Steaming:
Wrap the log in a piece of buttered baking parchment, then cover it with foil, twisting the ends to seal.
Steam the Pudding:
Place the wrapped pudding into a steamer over boiling water. Steam for 1.5 hours, ensuring the pan doesn’t run dry.
Resting:
Let the pudding rest for 10 minutes after steaming.
To Serve:
Serve warm, sliced, accompanied by custard or cream.
Notes:
